By manipulating fire-natured chakra, the user is able to create four large points, causing the Rasengan to take on the appearance of a giant fuuma shuriken, with the Rasengan in the centre remaining a perfect sphere. The technique gives off a loud screech-like noise during, and after formation. If the user has enough control (7), it can be thrown. If not, to perform it, the user requires the aid of two clones; while the user provides the chakra, one clone is responsible for the shape transformation, and the other provides the nature transformation. Scorch release or Amaterasu can be used to substitute the fire.
The Rasenshuriken creates countless microscopic "strands" of fire that severely damage the body on a cellular level. It produces so many individual strikes that even an Uchiha is unable to count them all with the Sharingan. The fire-blades sever all nerve channels in the body, leaving the target unable to move after being struck. They also attack the entire chakra circulatory system, which cannot be repaired by any form of medical ninjutsu whatsoever. Because the Rasenshuriken does cellular damage to the user's arm when using the technique without throwing it, the Kage labelled it a kinjutsu and likens the technique's effects to that of poison. By the average person, this technique cannot be used twice without completely draining their chakra, which is why it is only used in the most dire of situations.

In reality, the victim merely goes unconscious. The genjutsu can last a maximum of 10 minutes, if the victim is not awoken prior. This genjutsu is vital in missions where targets cannot be killed. After striking them, the dream world will slowly form and the victim will begin to feel drowsy and will be unable to concentrate and will begin hallucinating, and two posts after the genjutsu has been activated, the victim will fall unconscious.

The genjutsu uses the last attack and creates am image where the user fails to finish creating a jutsu in time making the attack look like a success and completely killing the user. The whole illusion is made to lure the opponent into a false sense of security for a sneak attack, or to make a hasty retreat if necessary.

The user can decide where these women are. Eerily enough, this technique has the same effect on women as it does on men. This technique makes the target oblivious to outside events.
