It was an ancient clans trait, that allows the user to see the vibrations in the world that go into your ear to cause sound. This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Basically all ninja know this technique.

This technique creates intangible copies of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).

This jutsu allows the user to transform either themselves or another object into the appearance of another person, animal, or object. The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts much mental strain on an inexperienced ninja.The transformation would be dispelled when the user is injured or hit.

When he was very small, his parents both died in the line of duty. They were on a mission to assassinate a kage in another country that was getting too powerful. They were caught and executed. Their heads were sent back to the shougun as a warning to stay away. The boy was given to his grandfather to be cared for. As he was being raised, his grandfather taught him how to control his Ongengan siknce he was born with it too. He loved his grandfather very much, but he would have very much like to have a mother and father.
When he was five years old he went to the Academy to study to become a ninja like his parents. He really wanted to honor his parents and to make his grandfather proud. As he grew, he got quite strong. He was very intelligent, and learned quickly. He was eventually able to graduate from the Academy by the time he was eight years old. He was very determined to succeed as a ninja, and his grandfather was all the prouder for it. Had his squad mates he was paired with took on easy missions at first in order to hone their skills. He was okay with that because he wanted to make sure he was ready. As time went by, they were able to take on more challenging missions and they were all the better for it. They practiced their team work, and they became a good strong team.
When he was twelve, his squad entered the Chuunin Exams. Even with his good intelligence and his squad's good teamwork, the exams still proved quite challenging. They got through the written part of the exams, but the unfortunately failed the second part due to a squad member incapacitating injury. I guess they simply weren't ready yet. When he was fifteen years old they tried again. They made sure to be extra careful this time and eventually made it to the tournament in the third and final stage. All didn't make it through the tournament. In fact, Tsunagi only made it past the second round. Eventhough he didn't win all his battles, he was recognized for his skill and strength and was promoted to Chuunin. He and his squad then went on to have many more adventures together.
