Kirishima sat out in the training field where her grandfather used to train her when she was young. Her gourd lay empty next to her. The iron sand it usually contained was spread out across the entire area covering the ground and giving it a blackish tinge. The memory's of the man blurred past as the sweat dripped from her forhead. The sweat it self was all over her body and exhaustion brought tears to her eyes. The salty mixture of both tears and sweat should of grossed her out but she couldn't care less at the moment. Takeo was busy last she checked and the news had only been received yesterday. The Jounin hadn't slept since then. She couldn't bear the thought of being the last one of her family. Families weren't so important these days but the impact was still real. All of the late Shougun's personal effects had been passed to her including his eyes. Especially his eyes. She had them hidden in a vial covered in cloth so she didn't have to look at them.

Takeo was looking for Kirishima, as he had just gotten back from his mission. The first place he thought of was the area where her and her grandfather trained. He was holding a box of chocolates and a small bunny key chain. The bunny was grey with Kirishima's and Takeo's initials engraved into it. Around the initials was a heart. The things seemed kind of cliche, but all that mattered was it might get her mind off of Hazama. Takeo walked up behind her and sat down next to her. Looking over at her he handed her the chocolates and key chain. He smiled at her and said, "Hiya there! How's it going my.... cherry blossom? I know things may seem tough, but I'm here for you." Takeo leaned over offering Kirishima a hug.

Wiping her eyes at the sound of Takeo's voice Kirishima didn't make eye contact. The fact that Takeo had managed to walk up to her without Kirishima being aware of it was enough of an indication as to how she was. Kirishima hugged the man before accepting his gifts. Not feeling like eating anything Kirishima just sort of sat there. She didn't say anything or reply to Takeo. He last living relative had passed away and she was lost for what to do. She was reputed to have an excellent defence but yet she couldn't even defend her grandfather. Nothing was ok with her at the moment. The only thing that was seemingly normal was Takeo.

Takeo was quickly hugged and Kirishima's sweat began to roll down his arms. As the hug finished he sat down his gifts for later, and starred up at the sky. He knew what Kirishima was feeling, but it made him angry that she had to feel his almost constant pain. The difference between his and her was that he had shifted from sadness to hatred. He slowly turned to Kirishima and looked at her, scanning her. "I understand how you're feeling.... don't pint it up." He looked back up into the sky, "It only turns into hatred," he said solemnly. "You can tell me about it... if you want, but I would understand if you didn't want to talk."

Still stunned into silence Kirishima sat there and let Takeo's words roll over her. Takeo would help her through this. He had to, he was all she had left. Kirishima realised that Takeo was all she had left and here she was sweating on him. "I'm sorry." The two words were all she could manage. Kirishima wasn't thinking straight and as such couldn't realize that her sweat wasn't really an issue in the grand scheme of things.

Takeo's ears perked up when Kirishima said sorry. He thought for a second about what she was apologizing about. Is she apologizing about her sweat. He looked her in the eyes saying, "Are you apologizing about your sweat? If so don't worry about it, I should be apologizing for not being there for..... Haz-" Takeo was choking up on his words, and couldn't get it out. Even though he didn't spend a lot of time with Hazama Takeo felt as if he was a friend or family member to him. He quickly said, "Hazama." in a darted tone.

Takeo's words echoed through her. Hazama. The Jounin's pause reinforced Kirishima's loss. The deceased Shougun was an important figure in her life and her last living relative. Now that he was gone Kirishima was even more lost on her path in life. Things had been coming together and now they had fallen apart.
A chuunin Shinobi appeared quickly before coughing slightly to draw Takeo's attention. The ninja held out a sealed scroll with the words UCHIHA, TAKEO on it. Kirishima had barely even registered the presence of the newcomer. The scroll had a weird chakra coating it and if Kirishima were to try and look at it with her Byakugan she would only see a blurred object. The scroll was from Hazama to Takeo and not for the Shougun's granddaughter.
The scroll, should Takeo choose to open it was the last will and testament of Hazama and were a set of instructions for Takeo. The instructions told of how Takeo should take Kirishima to a few different places from her past and discover hidden secrets from the Shougun. However it was only for when she was ready. Hazama had expressed that too early and it would only make things worse.

Takeo heard his name called, and walked over to the chuunin. The chuunin leaned into Takeo's ear and whispered, "only when she is ready, that's what the Shogun told me..." Takeo nodded and walked back over to Kirishima, he tightly tucked the scroll into his holster on his thigh. He looked back at Kirishima and shooed the chuunin away, "would you like to go grab dinner? We can do whatever you want, this whole month will be your special month." Takeo cracked a light smile, things felt oddly peaceful. Even after all the commotion it now seemed like the calm after a great storm. Takeo began to wonder, what is on this scroll? Also only when she is ready....

Kirishima looked up at Takeo and saw the look in his eyes. He was trying his best to help her get through this but she wasn't giving him anything. "Okay. Thank-you Takeo." Slowly standing up Kirishima once again remembered she was sweaty and probably not smellin very nice at the moment. "Can I go freshen up first?" The smile the appeared across her face was sincere but didn't quite reach her eyes. Takeo made her happy but at the moment happy was a distant memory.

Takeo replied to Kirishima, "No problem.... and feel free to freshen up. I probably need to also. Lets head home first, the restaurant is close anyways." Takeo began to walk in the direction of their apartment which wasn't far away, he was trying to think out the prices in his head. The restaurant they were going to was extremely expensive and Takeo wanted to pay for it all. It was one of those fancy restaurants where they don't give you a menu they just serve you whatever they feel like. You're supposed to like it and if you don't well then too bad.

Kirishima ran home as fast as she could manage. Hoping to beat Takeo she couldn't be sure if she would. When she arrived at the house Takeo and herself lived in she slipped in straight away to have a bath. Takeo was taking her on a date and this was more then enough reason to try and be happy. The usually silent man going out of his way to help her in this difficult time. Hazama would want her to keep living her life but at the moment she wanted to mourn. There would be time enough to mourn when Takeo wasn't around. They both had duties to uphold as shinobi. Tonight would be a good excuse to try and be happy and look towards the future.
