Grass Release (草遁, Kusaton) is an advanced chakra nature that combines earth and water-based chakra natures to create and manipulate nature, flora specifically.

The user creates spores that are released around an opponent. The spores then expand, turning into large burs that stick to them, hindering their movement.

The user uses the chakra manipulation of the grass and constricts their target to immobility if the target isn't strong enough to break free. If the target can not break free then the user will slowly drain the targets chakra and the target will be left immobile and unprotected.

The user empowers their grass chakra nature into the ground and cause a prairie to sprout out of the ground, and any trees or rocks that were surrounding the area affected by this technique are taken underground, never to be seen again. This jutsu is used to clear out a battlefield and make it open.

The user makes grass form around them into a spiked set of armor, acting like a full body shield. Though mainly used for defensive purposes, but in used with combination of Kusaton: Kusa Senbon, it can launch needles from the armor with a range of Close (0-5m) to Mid (5-10m)

The user summons a vine from the ground that is formed into a whip, this whip is as sharp as the sword, but it is much longer. It causes poison that makes the user start to lose chakra, slowly.

The user summons a shadow clone that is infused with grass chakra, when it is defeated in combat or the user runs out of chakra, the clone explodes and releases spores that grow quickly on the receiving end of the spores and gets their chakra drained, as they grow it also lowers immobility.

The user of this jutsu throws a seed or multiple seeds at the target. When it hits the target, at the users command, the seed will expand into a mass of flora that destroyed whatever part of the body it hit. This can be used, if the user is accurate enough, to preform a swift assassination, leaving nothing behind but plants.
