Itsuki had been walking for days, it was raining, his clothes were wet, but he hadn't reached a place that he felt was right to stop at. Eventually he was so tired of the restless nights outside, and the occasional run-down hotel in a small town that he came across once or twice, that once he found a place away from the rain he took it instantly. This place was a cave, it was dark, but Itsuki didn't mind. He had been carrying logs with him for a while, from earlier travels, due to the fact that he assumed he would need to make a fire, which he did. He quickly built it into a box formation, and then lit the fire using Katon: Housenka no Jutsu.

As the fire burned in front of him, it illuminated the cave and his face, so that he could see stalagmites around him, and water dripping around those areas, but the place where Itsuki was currently squatting by the fire was dry. "Lucky me," Itsuki said dryly, as he removed his clothing which was wet and laid them down by the fire. He was now almost down to complete skin, but fortunately he was still wearing a cloth around his waist. I guess this is as good a time as ever... Itsuki huffed and then he focused his chakra into a condensed sphere in front of him, with another smaller sphere inside of that one, and then released the massive energy that he held between his two arms.

The sphere shot out at a rapid speed and hit a stalagmite, it almost instantly expanded and then a massive explosion went off within the sphere which was now expanded and then ceased to exist. This left the stalagmite completely eradicated, along with a bit of the flooring of the cave, now a small crater had been formed a few feet away from the fire. Hm... I wonder where this power came from. And, is there anyone else that could help me hone this skill? Or, must I train myself... Itsuki thought for a moment, that's probably it, honestly, if there were more people like this then everyone would be striving for power like this, and it would be more known. I've read tirelessly about chakra, and jutsu, and other miracles that the human body can preform while I was studying in the hospital, and I hadn't heard a thing about anything like this. Itsuki thought to himself, as he focused more chakra between his hands.

As he formed this condensed shape, it came out as a triangle, with another sphere with in it. This triangle went shooting towards the back of the cave where Itsuki couldn't see, and just then it was absorbed into nothingness before it could expand and eradicate whatever it touched. "What you're using is called Jinton, how you got it I have no knowledge of, you are in my cave and you are destroying it, I will have to teach you a lesson, for I am the master of Jinton." said a voice in the darkness, and just then Itsuki was bombarded with shinobi that were half the size of him, wearing a straw hat, overly-large kimono robes, and a staff much, much, larger than the user itself. "I'm afraid of nothing, especially not hobgoblins like you, but I will be honest, I'm a bit concerned about how you dispersed my powerful jutsu. Maybe I'll get it out of you while I'm pounding your head in and smothering your brains all over 'your' cave's walls," Itsuki said quickly, with a daunting clarity and calmness to his voice, "maybe not." Just then, Itsuki emerged Hakahori and Fushi from his body, Hakahori in his left hand, and Fushi in his right.

"How I dispersed your jutsu? Oh, you see I'm not just a Jinton master, I'm also a puppet master, a weapons master, and a summoning master," the tiny man said, as he dodged a swing from Itsuki who just then noticed this man's grey hairs which signified that this man was old, or stressed, or both. "That doesn't answer my question, old man," Itsuki said without missing a beat, "patience child, I'm getting to the good part. I'm also a summoning master, and what I did with your jutsu was, I sealed it into a scroll," the man said as he removed a scroll with a seal on it that read "mirror" in Japanese Kanji, "so I could reflect it back and use your own attack on you! Jinton: Genkai Hakuri no Jutsu!" The man yelled this as a triangle with a sphere inside of it shot at Itsuki quickly.

"I have tricks up my sleeve too, old man." Itsuki said as he activated his Saibougan and quickly reached for his Shimekiri and loaded a bolt quick enough to shoot it into the sphere, making it expand and eradicate the bolt, instead of Itsuki. "Your tu-" Itsuki attempted to say, but was quickly hit in the back of the head by the old man's staff, and was knocked unconscious. He woke up with a start, the rain had stopped, it was bright out now, and the fire was out. He had Hakahori in his hand, and the man was sitting nearby, he stuck the sword up to the man's throat and said, "why didn't you kill me?"

"That'd be no fun, I'm gonna die soon, I need to pass down my legacy, and I don't have a son." The old man said, now with a smile, Itsuki hadn't got a good glimpse of his face during the fight. "I don't need a father, I'm sick of family, they make people soft. Anyway, that doesn't change anything. You should have killed me, now give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you!" Itsuki said with alarming ferocity. The man, though, replied with calmness again, which was starting to both Itsuki a bit, "I'll give you two! 1. I didn't kill you, shouldn't you be kind to an old man who did you a favor? And 2. You were thinking about needing someone to train you weren't you? I can be that someone! I remembered when I was like you, I spent years honing my skills alone, but with my help and your skill, you'll be done in half the time it took me, maybe even less!" Itsuki considered this idea, still with the angry fierce scowl that he kept on his brow. He never differed from this expression physically, though in his mind he was warming up to the thought of having a mentor for a bit, and the man was getting worried that Itsuki would kill him. "Okay, I guess, but there will be no rests, old man." The old man sighed in relief of the weight of a slightly earlier death lifted off of him, and he focused a bit of his chakra. "Well then, let's get going, shall we?"

Itsuki and the old man walked outside, away from the cave there was a massive flat area that looked perfect for a war-time ambush area. It was surrounded by mountains, including the one that held the cave within it, and the terrain was barren with noting in it but a few patches of tall but dry and very thin grass. The earth was cracked and crying for a drink that seemingly hadn't been supplied in days, maybe weeks, perfect. No life that Itsuki might kill and have to worry about other people complaining, no holding back. "Give it your best shot, you show me how much chakra you're using, how you're controlling it, and how you're maneuvering it, and I'll show you how a master does it afterward, okay? Go!"

"Don't tell me what to do," Itsuki said bluntly, as he charged up a condensed square of chakra and shot it into the center of the barren plain that they were currently in. The square hit and exploded the area, making a massive and rectangular crater into the ground that looked like it was some sort of mini quarry. Itsuki felt completely fatigued after that shot, and even the shots from last night, despite the fact that he regained chakra over night. "Yes, yes. I notice that you've lost a bit of, let's say, pep in your step. You're using too much chakra, try and cut down on your construct's chakra count a bit more."

"Fine," Itsuki said bluntly, as he formed another shape. This one was the sphere again, and he launched it in the same angle and with the same amount of force as the square from earlier, but this once fell a bit shorter and did less damage. "You used less chakra, yes, but you didn't use enough control of your chakra to force the sphere or increase it's damage, and because of that the use of more chakra would have been more worth it," the old man said. "Try again, this time give it your all, if you do any more of this intense training you'll die."

Itsuki followed as the man asked, he was a good teacher, but Itsuki didn't like getting bossed around. I can still go 1 hundred times more, this old man doesn't know who he's talking to... Itsuki thought to himself as he focused another blast, this one was an odd hexagonal shape. It shot out even further than the original square, expanded much larger, and Itsuki could feel it took less chakra. "You did it! Great job, kiddo! I'm proud! Now, let's head back to the camp, you can go out and get me some wild boar or deer, and then we can have a nice cook out and talk a bit, we haven't done much of that yet, HA!" The old man was dying over his own joke, and didn't notice Itsuki's fierce and stubborn expression. Even this much chakra loss weighed down on him, "n-no... I don't give up like this! I need power, I want power, so I can protect myself instead of others! I'll train if it kills me!" Itsuki started charging up another blast, which would drain all of his chakra and kill him once it released.

The old man slapped Itsuki's hand with his staff and unbalanced his chakra positioning so it dispersed back into his body. "There'll be none of that, kiddo. You don't need to squeeze all of your training into one horrid day, that's literally suicidal. Go out. Get me food. Come back. And we'll eat, like friends. You must have friends back in... whatever village you're from. I had friends before I became a Bat Sage, living in the caves and what not. It's a living, kinda, but it gets lonely. I remember back in the Hiseki Clan, man it was good times, but I had to leave, I had a duty to gain power during a clan dispute by some ancient and long gone force called 'Eclipse' who were working on making an artificial human called 'Shirokuro.' Anyway, I got this power, yada yada yada, killed a bunch of dudes, and now I'm a sage, in a cave, talking to some kiddo, with grey hairs. Where has my life gone. But now, now it's your turn! You will take my power, you will get super strong and what not, and you'll use the power how you see fit! Just protect the bats, that's all I ask." The man started looking desperate, he was spastic, but even Itsuki couldn't be mean all the time. "Ugh, whatever, only if you get me strong enough to take down an arm alone," Itsuki said, "SWEET!" the old man yelled with glee, "with only one arm!" Itsuki added, as he helped the old man back into his cave, and grabbed Shimekiri and went out for a hunt.

Da-chink, the sound of the crossbow firing and the mechanism quickly going back into it's standard placement was loud and annoying, but Itsuki paid it no mind. The deer had been killed instantly, for Itsuki shot it in between the forehead, and it pierced it's brain, killing it before it knew it was dead. I may be 'a heartless monster' as Takeo tends to say from time to time, but I still don't like making people suffer. Not people or things that haven't done me wrong, at least. It took a little bit, but Itsuki finally got the deer carcass back to the cave with the old man and began cooking it over the fire using some thick sticks to hold parts of it over the fire.

After gutting the deer, draining it's blood, and doing all the usual rounds that are necessary before cooking a fresh kill, Itsuki prepared the cooking area and cut off pieces of the deer's flesh and put it up so that it would roast and he and the man could eat. "So, I've told you my village and a bit about me, how about you? Hm, what's your story? I had an excuse, a reason to go into some random cave, and this is my home region, I haven't heard any reports about another Jinton user so I'm doubting you're from around here." The old man spoke, but Itsuki didn't respond. "What, you want me to tell you my name first or something?"

The old man sighed, "fine then. My name is Daichi Yoshorou. I am the one and only, currently, Bat Sage. I'm a master of summoning and sealing, including weapons and animals, those animals being bats. See, enough about me, kiddo, tell me about yourself." Itsuki looked at the man. "I'm just a traveling shinobi, looking for power. Now, unfortunately, old man Daichi. I have to leave. You see, I'm looking for 3 things, a shinobi who can help me with Jinton, you, another who can help me with Youton, and the last one with eyes like mine." Itsuki flashed his orange eyes at the man, who's own eyes expanded with surprised. "Well then, kiddo, you be on your way then. I know you will return, for you will be the one that takes my mantle." Itsuki nodded at this, his clothes had dried before he went training, and he had been wearing only his pants for a while, but now he put on his cloak and left the man. When he stepped outside he felt a dribble of rain fall on his forehead. Hmph, a sign I should stay. That's too bad. I make my own fate. Itsuki thought to himself, as he walked away. His stomach was now full of meat, he was refreshed, he had water earlier, and he was now glowing with energy. Off to my next mentor.
